dnnskins preview pictureThe XD Design team have created thousands of skins, literally thousands and thousands of files that make up skin pacakages for DotNetNuke.  While most of our work is custom designs for DNN, we do some skins which people can download and put on their sites.

We work hard to make sure our skins are tested in as many browsers and versions of DNN as possible, but tend to keep to the mainstream versions because in reality, you can't even run a DNN website without having some of the later browser technology.

Some of the versions we have tested this skin in include -

DNN - 4 & 5, Browsers - IE 6, 7, 8   Mozilla - Firefox 2 & 3, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera

 Mid Pane

This is the mid pane of this skin to show how it can be utilised. Most of the sites we do have minimal panes.  We like to keep thing simple and easy to make management  of the site as streamlined as possible.

 Right

This is a right pane example.  Sometimes in skin designs, the right and left pane has been dropped to show only the content pane.  In most cases, it will automatically appear once you put the content into the correct pane.

 Bottom

The bottom pane on our skins normally is displayed across the full width of the skin and sits just above the footer. We collapse this pane so that it is not visible when not used, giving you a consisent and clean look with even padding and white space between the panes.

Since most websites now use the standard 960 pixel width skins, you will find that there isn't as much use for this pane as any text that runs across the site like this can be hard to read. Of course you can add your own images to break it up, but generally we keep the larger images to the top of the page, rather than at the bottom.
